Intelligent WAN Routing Service

Our Intelligent WAN Routing service ensures prioritization for critical applications along with automated Internet redundancy and link balacing so that customers can fully utilize their Internet connections.

Reliable cloud application connectivity is our specialty. ZeroOutages can design the perfect QoS and intelligent WAN routing solution to ensure that your network stays up and optimized 24/7/365. If your organization uses cloud services, you need fast and responsive Internet access.

Intelligent WAN routing can also fully utilize their various network links. Unlike other solutions, only ZeroOutages can perform session-based link balancing in order to combine the download speeds of an organizations Internet circuits. For example, if you have two 10Mbps connections, end-users will get 20Mbps in download performance.

Built-In QoS and Dynamic Shaping: Gives customers the ability to prioritize critical applications like VoIP, Citrix, and others. With dynamic shaping traffic can be further guaranteed for specific applications, i.e. ZeroOutages can assign 1Mbps of bandwidth to VoIP on a 10Mbps circuit.

Take a look at the video below to see how our intelligent WAN routing works for our customers. Intelligent WAN routing ensures uptime and enables customers to fully utilize their Internet connections.

Many organizations have a backup Internet link, why not fully utilize it? With intelligent WAN routing our customers are able to finally take advantage of the additional bandwidth available via those secondary connections.

Features

Benefits

Dynamic QoS for Cloud Applications
ZeroOutages can dynamically adjust QoS in order to maximize bandwidth for cloud applications like VoIP and web-enabled services. During periods of high network utilization intelligent WAN routing will instantly carve out bandwidth for mission critical applications and guarantee end-users bandwidth for critical applications like VoIP.
Automated Internet Redundancy
ZeroOutages maintains network connectivity by automatically re-routing traffic in the event of a network outage. If your service provider has an issue, ZeroOutages will make sure that your end-users stay up and running 24/7/365.
Combine Network Connections
Improve performance for end-users by combining the download speeds of the various Internet circuits for web applications. Speed up access to popular websites and servies.
Optimized Best Path Routing
Instantly re-routes traffic based on an ISP failure, latency, packet loss, and calculated jitter for each defined network route, i.e. if you are accessing a business critical remote resource, Best Path Routing will ensure that you are always using the most optimized path to get to that resource.

Unique to the ZeroOutages solution is the ability to utilize SLA information that is calculated from other ZeroOutages deployments, thus gathering a more complete view the availability of various network paths based on the sum total monitoring of each ZeroOutages onsite device. This meta route data is something only available via ZeroOutages and is used to further improve the end-users experience.

FAQs

The following are common questions about our intelligent WAN routing. If you would like to submit a question, please fill out our information request form. Thank you.

What can and can not be bonded?
Our patented link balancing technology bonds/aggregates multiple ISP circuits together to improve performance and reliability. When you perform a speed test you will see the combined speeds of the various links, so long as the various links speeds are similar. If they are dramatically different you may not see the combined rates, however this does not mean that each circuit is not being utilized. ZeroOutages onsite appliances will intelligently route the traffic to optimize network connectivity no matter what speed is available from each provider (without backhauling). Bonding involves sending multiple sessions out the various connections at the same time, and some applications that require session persistence can not be bonded in this way, however our intelligent WAN routing will automatically determine the best way to route this traffic. So no matter what, the customers data is being optimized and each ISP link will always be utilized for improved performance.

Are there circuits that require additional hardware to connect to ZeroOutages?
Each ZeroOutages platform comes with Ethernet interfaces, so as long as the ISP link is terminated to a Ethernet connection then there is no problem. Most broadband providers include a modem or a router with their services. These devices terminate the connection from the provider and hand off an Ethernet connection, which is what ZeroOutages devices need. ZeroOutages recommends a simple modem for most cable installations and a router or brouter for most DSL connections (to terminate PPPoE and hand off a NAT'd public address). ZeroOutages service can replace an ISP's router in cases where the connection is being delivered via an Ethernet connection.

How does Intelligent WAN Routing deliver an unsurpassed Internet Redundancy solution?
Our ZOOM platform collects network availability information, i.e. when an outage or high latency is detected across a specific link to a specific destination, and then that information is recorded within the ZOOM database. This information is used, in conjunction with the other ZeroOutages systems, to determine the best route to use for each ZeroOutages customer. What this means is that each ZeroOutages customer is helping every other ZeroOutages customer in determining the best way to route their data when multiple paths are available. This is a unique and patent function of ZeroOutages.
